  • Louise Hay is an American author born October 8, 1926 in Los Angeles. She has written numerous self-help books, the most famous being Transform Your Life (1989).

    Louise Hay's early years were very difficult. Her poor mother, married a man who turned out to be violent, she was raped at the age of 5 by a neighbor. At 15, she stopped studying and gave birth to a baby girl at the age of 16. She will get her adopted and leave for Chicago where she survives from various odd jobs.

    It was in New York where she moved in 1950 that Louise Hay became a model, a career that finally smiled on her. She then married to divorce 14 years later, her husband having left her for another woman.

    She then met Raymond Barker who introduced her to creative thought. A movement where she teaches some time later.

    The trials unfortunately did not end there, as she was diagnosed with cancer in 1977. It was at this time that in addition to creative thinking, she began to carry out work on herself based on mediation, the forgiveness and affirmations. A philosophy of life which allows him to heal and to make a new turn in his life.

    Louise Hay then wrote a first book You can heal your life where she tells about her so trying youth as well as her recovery and founds her publishing house. This house called "Hay House" including the one called "Hay House South Africa" donates its profits to AIDS orphans in the country.
